I have a 32-35 day cycle, if i have sex a day before my period starts do I still have a chance of becoming pregnant? AF usually last 5-6 days.

No, i have 31 day cycles and ovulate on CD19, most women ovulate 12-16 days before their period, it's like that because there needs to be enough time for
#1 the egg to get fertilised
#2 the egg to reach the uterus
#3 the progesterone the corpus luteum (little cyst left behind from where the egg released) produces, to thicken the lining of your uterus enough for the egg to implant
#4 the egg to implant and start producimg progesterone itself to maintain the pregnancy when the corpus luteum depletes (if you don't conceive the corpus luteum depletes, your progesterone drops and your period is triggered) 
Any less then 10days between ovulation and your period is not a viable amount of time for conception to occur, and also after ovulation the egg only survives for 24-48 hours before it disintegrates.
