First time renter: thermostats settings?

Hi guys.... This is my first time renting an apartment and i live in NC... Trying to figure out whats the best temp to set my thermostat to? Im typically hot all the time but I dont want to run my electricity bill up.  Whats the norm and how can I avoid a high electricity bill

Ours is usually between 68 and 70, and we're in Kentucky so we probably have similar temperatures.

As an electrician working in air con controls we typically set winter set points to 22°C and summer to 23°C. We do commercial (big buildings, schools, offices, hospitals etc), and the difference between say a 30°C day & 23°C is noticeable when coming in from outside, and visa versa in winter difference between 13°C and 22°C is such that it feels warmer without working the air con too hard & using up electricity (big industrial stuff work in a different way to home a/c units though). Still 22.5°C is our normal set point.

You set it at what ever you want for most people around 70 and turn it down a little at night. Personally we keep our place a little cool and always snuggle with blankets so it usually at like 64 but your just gonna have to see what's comfortable to you
