Can I drink iced tea??

This is my third pregnancy with no babies. I'm in my 9w right now. I hate coffee now which before being pregnant I drank 2-3 cups a day. Each pregnancy I hate the taste of it, I don't drink soda, no caffeine unless I eat something chocolate (which is rare). So my question is I know certain herbal teas are not okay, but is regular brewed iced tea from Dunkin donuts okay?? It's a nice warm day and I'd love some for on my way to work with lemon. I can never get a solid answer on this and unless I know for sure I don't chance things. TIA!

200mg is recommended caffiene intake so i would just look up how much caffeine is in dunkin donuts ice tea. I know starbucks Trenta (largest size in teas) green tea is only about 93mg i believe. You should be fine! Especially sense you don't drink coffee or soda.

Starbucks passion fruit iced tea is decaf.. I'm addicted right now and have to have one every day! I too was a huge coffee drinker but I can stand it right now!

I'm a consultant with Steeped Tea and have been looking into this a lot since I got pregnant again. Generally, you want to choose teas that are low in caffeine, flavorful and if you make at home that you can limit the sugar in.

My midwife said: I generally tell people that the majority of commercially prepared teas are assumed to be safe as their ingredients are pretty standard.

I'd imagine that's totally fine! It's the Chinese herbs I THINK that are more risky!!

Generally speaking, one won't hurt. The general recommendation is that the less the better, but under 200 mg is OK. Most teas have 100 or below. But you may have other conditions that changes how much you can have.
