Rug or no rug for nursery?

Question

My husband doesn't think we need a rug for our nursery and I do, what do you guys think?  His main reason is that it would be under only part of the furniture and it might make the furniture wiggle, I want it to be soft on my feet : )

I would do the rug. We have carpet even and I still added a soft rug which I have ended up sleeping on for a few hours in the later months. So worth it!

We have rugs in our nursery (where I work) as well as carpeting and it makes for a lovely soft area for you and baby to play and explore

My husband also thinks the nursery doesn't need a rug, especially $$$ one. I wanted to go with wool/cotton, and found a few all in $250-300 range. "What if the baby throws up/poops/spills something on it? " oh well. I rather get something of quality and not some plastic $40 IKEA rug
