Tummy/body skin application steps?!

Question

So I went and bought a body butter, body lotion, and oil to help with moisturizing and improving elasticity of my skin.

What order should I apply them in? Lotion--> Butter--> oil?

I feel like I saw somewhere there's an order to improve the skin retaining the moisture/product.

Oils are best applied right after a shower or bath while skin is still slightly damp. I typically apply my oil after shower then my lotions( they are thinner and absorb more quickly than creams), then my cream or balm.

Depends what type of oil but that order is good. The problem with some oil is that it's comedogenic (which means it will clog your pores or sit on top of the skin). Oil is great at locking in the moisture you have, but doesn't penetrate the skin. So if you moisturizer with a lotion and then throw some oil on top of that, in theory, it should lock in all of that lotion into your skin. So if you are just going to do one for the day, always lotion first!
