I can't make sense of this no matter what angle I look at it from. You say you've always wanted a biological child because of what you were diagnosed with at a younger age and decided trying to concieve yet now that you've decided to think about your future, your child is going to be deemed so much of an inconvenience that you're going to allow a family member to adopt her. Totally makes sense... And before anyone tells me I have no right stating my opinion because I don't know what it's like, I was on the other end. I was the child that was an inconvenience to my biological mother and adopted by a family member. After finding out the truth, never once did I ever look at my biological "mother" as anything more than just another person. She wanted me until she realized that there was more to having a child than the fun mommy/daughter moments. You should've really put everything into perspective before concieving a child.

Why didnt yall think about your "life goals" BEFORE trying to create a human being???
Honestly if you could even consider "giving her away" then i think you probably should. Life is HARD as a young mom....i know first hand, but if you cant step up and take some responsibility,  then i think you should allow someone who can. Just dont think because a relative wants to adopt her that means you need to be in and out of her life and having all of the "fun" mommy privileges without having the hard mommy privileges. Simply step away and let your aunt raise that baby right.

You said all you ever wanted was to have a biological child but then are deciding to give her up for adoption? You really should have thought things through before deciding to get pregnant. I'm not going to judge your age but it's pretty irresponsible to decide on something as big as bringing another human into this world without thinking of the things you still want to accomplish first that you say would get in the way and be unfair to your baby. It's great you want to get your degree and you should but if you aren't ready to make that sacrifice to have a child first or work extra hard to do both, why did you decide to get pregnant? Now you've changed your mind about keeping your child because of this. I'm sure you've learned that you should have waited. Your soooo young still there was no rush to have a baby. These are just my thoughts. I'm not bashing you. I hope everything works out well for you and your baby.

If your aunt is willing to adopt, I can almost guarantee she would be willing to help you with her while you are in school. Have you not thought of any other options?
