Left side pain

So I'm 14 weeks now, and since I was about 8 weeks I've been getting random sharp pains on my left side. Sometimes they are very subtle and I can ignore them or walk them off, and sometimes they are so sharp and so severe that they wake me from my dreams at night and keep me from even rolling over to ask my husband for help. I plan on asking the doctor, but I tend to forget when I'm not currently in pain, so I just want to ask if it sounds like something normal, or should I be worried?
