When should I start going to the OBGYN?

I'm 18, a virgin, and I've never been to the OBGYN. Some people tell me you only go once you've started having sex but I'm still curious. I wanna stay on top of my health so I wanna know ASAP. Thank you!

I personally started going when i was about 15 i think because my periods were so hellish but they wont do a pap smear until your 21 they can do like std tests and stuff like that but if your not sexuallyactive and you know your clean thats not really needed lol but you can go whenever you want really theres just not much theyll do until your active or 21! Unless you want to talk about like birth control and such

Either once you become sexually active or turn 21, whichever comes first (they'll want to do a Pap smear at 21 anyway)
