Mirena I used twice, first time I got pregnant after a year and a half & with both of them I had the side effect of bad morning sickness as why I had the second one taken out after 4 months, couldn't take it anymore.

This will be my 3rd and final baby due this July. Since we have had them close together (all 3 within 4 years) we haven't used any BC except condoms. My SIL is an OBgYn and highly recommends the copper IUD. I'm pretty sure when baby turns one and my period finally returns this is what I will go wth.

After i had my daughter i went back on the pill only to find that the hormones no longer agreed with me (mega acne and extreme mood swings) so i had the copper iud and liked it the only thing i didnt like was that it made my period longer i went from having a 4 day period to a full 7 day period which was also heavier other than that i cant fault it. I had it removed in Oct as we're ttc baby #2 but once ive had the next baby im getting another

I had the hormone and I hated it, made my hair fall out. I got skin rashes, still had heavy periods and my husband would get poked by the strings then it took me a year to conceive.  Never again.

Every women's story will be different though so do you own research and choose what's best for you.
