Should I go in?

Question

I've been having consistent contractions for 11 hours straight. Between 5-7 mins apart for most of it. There was an hour and a half that they were more like 10-13 mins apart. Now I'm back to constantly 5ish minutes apart. I called my office and asked when they suggest I go into L&D and the lady said "woah, you've been about where we'd tell you to go in for a while". But I'm worried about going in and being sent home! Should I wait until they're actually UNDER 5 mins for an hour? What are your experinces? I know everyone is different, I just don't want to jump the gun!

Well I went in! I'm contracting every 2-3 mins but am only "1 and a wiggle" dilated and 80% effaced 🙁 they'll check again soon and we'll see what happens!

Go ahead and go!! The worst they could say is to go back home lol. Just go just in case

My dr says for a first time baby, go in at about 2-3 minutes cause it takes longer for a first time mom. If it's your second kid 3-4 minutes. 
You'd rather labor at home as long as possible because you're more comfortable at home

Go. You don't want to wait too long. If they send you home, go park your car around the block and try to rest. You don't want to risk an accidental home birth.
