Anyone used a biliblanket?

Baby tested high for bilirubin. (18). We started using this last night. So uncomfortable when trying to breastfeed. How long will it take to being down the levels of her bilirubin. She's 2 and 1/2 weeks.

We had to use a Bili blanket at home for 3 1/2 days to get my little man's levels from a 17.3 down to 10. We are jaundice free now though. The one we had went on his back but he couldn't wear clothes so we wrapped him in a blanket to help hold the light in place.

My sins levels continued to rise and he needed it at 7 days old and used it for 4 days. We were allowed to take it off for feedings and diapering. However it had a sleeve over it and that had to go directly on skin, no clothing allowed. Here's a pic of my little man with his on, we just covered him with a blanket.

We used the exact one with my first daughter. It was hard not holding her but it was so much better then being admitted to the hospital. Our second was a NICU baby and her entire bed lit up.

My son got readmitted to the hospital at 5 days old because his levels came back high(21), he was under the lights and the used the blanket in him as well and we had to keep it on him when we took him out to feed him, it took two days in the hospital under the lights constantly except for when he ate for his levels to drop down to 12

My daughter had high Billi (18 as well) but they wouldn't let me use the blanket(she was also just a few days old at the time), we were told it was too high for that. We had to admit her and after being under the lights (with only a diaper on) her numbers went to 13 within 24 hours. It did end up going back up and after doing the same thing a second time, her numbers stayed down. We were told that if it gets into the 20s, it can cause brain damage.
