Sometimes youve got to put your foot down...

So my husband and I have decided we will NOT be telling anyone I've gone into labor. We will be notifying people of his arrival soon after he is born and we won't be accepting any visitors for 6 hours. Weeeellllllll.... My mom isn't taking too kindly to it.

She's madder than a wet hen right now & she thinks I "owe" it to her to tell her when I've gone I to labor simply because "she has birthing rights".... She is the type of person that despite the fact we prefer to remain private about my labor & delivery, she will tell everyone we know, she will be in the waiting room beating down the door, blowing up our phones.... Basically stress neither of us want.

Sometimes, you've got to put your foot down, even when it comes to someone like your mom. I love her dearly, but this is our baby, not hers. We decided she needs to realize from day 1 that she needs to take a back seat approach & allow us to make decisions for us. She did her job as mom, now she gets to be grandma.... She's not happy about it though 😐
