When to buy?

How long did all you mommas wait to start buying baby stuff? I'm 15w6d and I want to start getting things like the stroller and smaller things now but everyone keeps telling me to wait until at least 20w to start shopping. What do you think?

I'm 16 weeks now and just bought a pac n play and each paycheck I get a thing of diapers and wipes to start stocking up :) you can never be too prepared lol

I found out I was pregnant a little over 3 weeks ago. Since then I have started buying a box of diapers and wipes each week, to get a good stockpile going before the baby is born, I found a great deal on an all white bassinet which can be used for boy or girl, I've also gotten some great deals on some bottles (even though I plan to breastfeed) some neutral blankets and a rock and play sleeper. I am waiting until I know what I am having (I will find out in about a month with the new blood work that they do) and then I will start buying clothes, stroller and carseat, and other things that I prefer to be "gender specific"  (pink car seat for girl ect.)

I think I will have the baby room painted now.  It's going to be a light neutral color, so no harm there. It will occupy my time along with picking out (not purchasing) what furniture I want for that room. However, will likely start purchasing stuff towards the end of my 2nd trimester.

I had my baby shower a little sooner than usual because people kept telling me "don't buy anything until after the baby shower " 
And I'm glad I did. I have a big and loving family and they got us everything we needed. Including our pack and play and our stroller car seat combo. In the end my husband and I only had to buy a couple little things and still have gift cards in case we need anything else.

I'm going to wait till I reach 30 weeks.... Don't want to buy things too early and if something goes wrong...the baby stuff will just make u upset...I'm not being pessimistic but this should be taken in consideration 😀

I'm 11 weeks and already have my crib, bassinet, swing, carrier, tub and breast pump. I know that most people say wait for the baby shower but honestly I don't expect people to get me the big expensive things as money is tight everywhere. I'll get the things I know I need and then I'll wait till the baby shower to get any other things. When I find out the gender I'll look for crib sheets and a stroller. Maybe a few little things and then I'll wait. Id like to be prepared. Also we'll have a list of things that we need posted so we won't get anything we already got. Better to be prepared then not at all. I don't want to be almost ready to pop before I set the baby room up. Lot to do with so little time

I waited until after my baby shower at 36w and then went shopping at 37/38w.

I would wait until you find out the gender (if you don't want it to be a surprise), then slowly start building up. If you get clothes I recommend getting 6months or older because you're gonna get a shit ton of newborn clothes at your baby shower

It depends on how you feel. I waited to the last 2 months to buy more serious things like bassinet and car seat in case I change my mind. As for other things, I'm kind of a nut. I am the mother of 3 boys and I have quite a few girl outfits, girl toys, and a princess sippy cup meant for a 3-year-old. I think it's a girl every time. One of these times it will be!
