I'm honestly not even sure if my husband knows Mother's Day is this coming weekend (he doesn't talk to his mother). I won't be hurt or upset because I don't really feel like a mother yet. I'm happy to wait till next year to celebrate with my whole new family :).

I think it's equally legitimate to want to celebrate Mother's Day while pregnant or to feel like it's premature.

If you do want some recognition, perhaps say something to your partner like, "I would like to celebrate Mother's Day because I'm becoming a mother" or something so that you're both on the same page. It wouldn't be fair to get upset because you presumed it would be celebrated and your partner presumed it would not be.
