Last night, my husband, my sister, and I were headed home from a games night. They had each had a few drinks, so I was driving. We ran into a police roadblock checking for drunk drivers. When the officer asked if I'd been drinking, I blurted out, "Pfft I'm pregnant!". He said "That doesn't stop some people", then waved us on. A block later it occurred to me that I never actually told him that no, I hadn't been drinking. He didn't even look at my ID. I'm 7wks, it's not like I'm showing. It makes me wonder how many non-pregnant women have successfully used that excuse...
