Never? Lol. If it's something that's important to you you should go for it obviously. But to me it seems like a waste of money. After you have the baby are you ever going to want to look at ultrasound pics? Just my two cents!

The later, the better. They'll look less like a lil alien hahaha.

The place I get mine recommends 28-32 weeks.  Far enough along that they have accumulated some body fat so they'll be cute pics, but early enough that they still have some room so you can get good pics.  Later on the be so smooshed it'll be hard to get a pic of their face because there will always be something in front of it cause there's no room to move.
