Question about cervical mucus

Hello ladies!! I am pretty sure I ovulated between 4/22 and 4/23 and today I have been having a lot of CM. I took an ovulation test and of course it was negative. Is this normal? I have never really paid any attention to cm until we started trying ttc. Thanks in advance.
