I know every body is different, but how much do our genetics impact fertility? It only took my mother a few months (less than 6) each time she got pregnant. She was pregnant 3 times and had one miscarriage. My grandmother was the same and was pregnant twice with 1 miscarriage. However my sister tried for 6 years and was successful with IVF . She has PCOD. I don't have any obvious signs of PCOD, but it's in the back of my mind. My fertility journey is only just beginning, my husband and I have only been trying 6 months. It still worries me though. At what point do I see a specialist. My regular OBGYN says give it a whole year and the we will start creams first and then possibly medications. I

It can be to an extent, that is if a health problem runs in the family. However it can also not go that way.My Mom has 4 living children and I can't seem to get bb#2.
