Do you think people at fast food restaurants should make $15/hr?
I'm not saying they don't deserve it or if they do but maybe if minimum wage jobs were raised it would be easier for people to live, easier for people to raise their families and be less poverty! It's not as easy to get a job, there may be many local fast food restaurants but do you realize how many people apply for them and how many people get an interview? It's just really hard to get a job and maybe if minimum wage was raised people wouldn't have to depend on social assistance. Think about it! If you're on social assistance you can pay your rent, bills, and get your neccessities and especially be able to eat. Getting minimum wage you need to get a car, pay for insurance, gas for the car, if you got kids you need money for daycare or a babysitter, then you got to pay everything else so could you really afford that? Maybe if people stopped depending on the type of job it is and looked at how hard it is today for people to just get by! Trust me I worked in a fast food restaurant. A small local business that was a popular place for tourists and we had 10 people working with various jobs so it as very hard.. People don't realize how hard a job is till they work it, it's nothing like being a doctor but there's still someone making your food when you order. I seen someone say 'oh to make $15/ to f*ck up my food?' Everyone makes mistakes. I'm after messing up orders because I got 6 sandwiches and 4 salads in a row, my feet hurt and I'm tired. It's getting stressed because someone will complain if you take too long. I'm sure most of you at one point in your lives made a mistake at your job, so maybe when someone messes up your order next time just think of how the job is or how that day has been doing or how busy it is. Some days I go into work with a foggy mind and can't think straight!
Yes I think people who work minimum wage jobs should make $15/hr and not because of the type of job they do because it's so hard to survive in this world with barely any money, not only that job but any job that makes low income should make more. What do you think?
Edit: like I said every job should go up, like let's say if the cost of living didn't go up. The reason why there's so much poverty because no one can afford to live then there's people calling whoever that's on social assistance lazy but how can you afford to work?
