My LDR boyfriend doesn't text me everyday?

Mine does the same damn thing God I hate it... ask him.. is hard being in a LDR.. comunication is always key but it's  your everything in LDR.. because is all you have to relay on.. once you lose the comunication and trust within it... it's all gone.. I'm in LDR.. 2 years n 4 months... trust is gone.. we talk.. few texts a days.. we just don't communicate like we used to.. he doesn't show much love.. doesn't call.. i tried letting go.. I did.. after finding him on a dating site.. he doesn't wanna let go.. he is just around to be around.. I talk to other people.. but still kinda hold the commitment of at the end of day were together.. complicated.. lol

To be completely honest with you... I don't think it's weird depending on how long he goes without talking to you. I don't know if my situation is similar enough but I was in a LDR but we met online and never met at that time until a year later and I thought it was weird not texting everyday but I learned he was the type of person who actually needed space and a bit of freedom. Some people need "me time" especially because you're not around him so he's already accustomed to dealing with things without you. I think if he goes more than 2-3,days without talking to you, he's losing interest.

My ex said he hated that he had to text me everyday, and that he had to call every night. Said it made him unhappy so he left me. 3000 miles of distance for 2 years. It sucks. The worse part? We were together for 4 years and I still miss him every damn day even though I know I'm better off.
