Newborn wit soothers??

Is it wrong to give a newborn a soother? 
Will it not confuse them ?

My son loves his. I breastfeed. The soothers weren't the problem he definitely knows the difference it's introduction of a bottle that messes things up if you breastfeed

Sometimes they like them for comfort or like to suck for comfort. They will have different cries for hunger and wanting comfort so its just trying to figure which is which. I used them with my son with no problems or confusion and he was born at 37 weeks. I will also use them again if she takes to them (due in 29 days). ☺

We give my son one almost every night because he can't sleep without something being in his mouth, and he's 4 days old! We've had zero issues with it, he still takes to my breast without any issues 😊
