Would you let your 7 month old be taken 2 hrs away over a week?

My fiancé (daughters father) is incarcerated. His mother asked if she could come pick up our 7 month old daughter & take her for a week (she lives 2 hrs from me). We said no because we are not comfortable with it as our daughter is not familiar with them. His family has only seen our daughter twice which was because I drove her two hours to see them, they were not at the hospital when she was born & haven't even seen my fiancé in over a year. This caused a HUGE fight.. Would you have said yes!? I do not feel as though we are in the wrong honestly.

My fiancé &I I tried to discuss it peacefully but got screamed at & cursed at & hung up on 😡 I'm glad that I have the second knowing that I was not wrong because I was being told I'm a bitch etc.. Also I would like to add they showed up to our baby shower with nothing, got her nothing for Christmas ( I spent over $300 on them). This is obviously not about materials but it does add to the disrespect of it all I feel.

Definitely not. Especially if they don't regular efforts to see my daughter. A week is too long and two hours is too far. I would say yeah if she wanted to come down and visit for a few days. But not take my child away. Fuck that.

Honestly I would not feel comfortable with it at all . It would be a BIG NO. How is she going to feel being around people that she doesn't know and being away from you for such a long time at such a young age ? You have every right to say no or make up some excuse .
