Braxton hicks and growing

Over the past 3 days I have had really bad braxton Hicks on and off all day and I found it weird since I'm only 17 weeks and didn't have them till 38 weeks with my first who is now 18 months. And over those three days I have doubled in size went from being kinda small with little bump to looking 26 weeks preg it's crazy are they related, is it normal??
