Self Removal?

Has anyone here tried removing their own IUD from home? If so, side effects after removal? Tips? Pros/Cons? Recommend or No?

Definitely not a self removal kind of device...you may be looking at damage to your uterus and lots of pain and even infection if you cut yourself pulling it out.

Um I wouldn't. I'd worry about damaging something. And it was so hellish getting it put in.... I wouldn't trust myself to take it out. Let the Drs do that.

Don't do it go have it done at the doctors office. Insurance should cover it. You try to removed it could cause you more damage taking it out because the arm may cut all way down .  please don't do it it will cause you go to er.

I have an IUD myself and personally I don't recommend taking it out yourself. If you have to see a doctor to get it put it, chances are you have to see a doctor to get it taken out.
