Periods after birth control

Hey guys! So I got my implanon taken out end of January beginning of feb. (not sure exact) and every period I've had since then.. (This would be my 4th) have been awful. Not the bleeding part, that parts actually awesome, very short. But the hormones. I'm crazy, I cry, my back hurts. I went through such a mental breakdown last month I have an appointment with a psychiatrist on Tuesday. Am I overreacting or is this stuff just normal and I've never experienced it? I'm about to be 25 been on BC since I was probably 16...
