Period on the IUD?

Is it just me, or does anyone else actually not get a period on the copper coil? I've had mine in six month and I haven't had one period, apart from light monthly spotting (unless that's it). However, I've always had really long, heavy, crampy periods but since I got the IUD in the heaviest I will get is a little bit of spotting, never enough a tampon! Anyone else???
