Happy birthday to my little man-cub πππ π
Welcome to the world little buddy!
This whole experience has been one I really can't complain about, especially being my first pregnancy! I never had any morning sickness, I carried so small that I was able to wear my pre-pregnancy jeans until the day I delivered (today). My only issue was some sciatic pain.
I had a doctor check up visist scheduled today at 2pm. I suspected I might be in labor, and sure enough, she checked me & I was 3cm. So she sent me home. I didn't spend more than an hour at home before I was like NOPE! We are going to the hospital! So we went & by time I got there at 4pm, I was 8-9cm!! π±π΅ they gave me the option to get an epidural because I wanted to decide while in labor. I figured well I've made it this far, if it's not going to get any worse, I guess I'll go natural. So I did! By 8pm, I had my baby boy!
The pain was no where near what I had anticipated, it was horrible, but definitely bearable. I stayed calm and my hubby helped me remember to breathe properly. 15 or so pushes & he was out!
My nickname here at the hospital is rockstar from all the nurses π I didn't scream, and the only time I cries was when they were putting a the IV in my arm... I know right... But they couldn't find a vein and poked me eight... EIGHT TIMES! And each one of those times they moved the needle about 3 times in the same hole trying to find one.
