Birthing class question?

Did birthing classes really help you mommies? I'm asking because I'm debating if I wanna take a few classes or not. Due to time clashes in my schedule Its difficult for me to fit that class in because of the times they offer the class. I'm a ftm so I know it would be helpful but is it really necessary?

If you go to a big hospital that you're not familiar with, they give tours. Other than that, I only took my hubby so he could get the "training" for if a cesarion was necessary (our hospital required a class to be in the room during a cesarion, but that was 9 years ago).

I didn't get much use of it. I had honestly read about everything that they taught, and the labor techniques I didn't use.

It depends on how you feel personally about child birth. I took the class with my SO and we both found it very helpful, mostly for him as now he feels more confident that he's able to support me and what I'd like to achieve with this birth.
