Poop and mucus?TMI

Question

Sometimes when I go to bathroom normally a week or so before period I poop out mucus  And when I wipe I have discharge goopy stuff out of my butthole :( I'm worried but it only happens once and a while any ideas why?

I guess I'll have a go at this question. Mucus is pretty much everywhere in your body. When you poop, it helps lubricate your bum so that poop slides out easier, so it's normal to have it for the most part. However, if it's in such excessive amounts where you have this sort of "pooling" effect, I would go get a colonoscopy or something to rule out an infection of the intestines.
