Polysporin on new tattoo? Help?

Has anyone ever used polysporin on a new tattoo? Everyone told me to just get polysporin because it basically did the same stuff as tattoo cream, so I did and have been using it since I got my tattoo (two days ago). Is this okay?
I'm not sure what A&D is.... I'm just wondering if I have to throw out the polysporin now or if I can continue to use it?

NOOOOO. Nothing with -sporin because it will cause the tattoo to heal too quickly. Listen to the others: unscented lotion.

Ive always used only unscented lotion on all of my tattoos and they have all healed perfect.  Never had a problem at all and i have 16

I have 10 tattoos and I used a&d on all of them except one the last one they told me to use oatmeal lotion but I prefer a&d

My shop tells everyone to use aquaphor or A+D for their tattoos in the first healing stage. I used something called after inked because it's more of a lotion consistency & you can use it for the entire healing period start to finish

If it's antibiotic cream don't use it. It'll pull the ink out of your skin and fade the tattoo bad. Something like A&D, Vaseline, aquaphor, or tattoo goo is best

I've always used dermasil or A&D. But A&D is more of an ointment and dermasil is a lotion.

I was always told to use aquaphor (or however you spell it) then after a few weeks unscented lotion. Is that the same as neosporin? I've heard neosporin is bad for new tattoos.
