Conceiving

Help! Been trying for a baby for 5 months. My cycles since coming off the pill have been every 42 days :( so my chances are I'm guessing less. Anyway this month my period started after 32 (yay more normal) but it only lasted a day and a half and was ALOT lighter than usual? Normally it's heavy and lasts 5-7 days. It was bright red blood but then would be brown and 1/2 days max. Anyone else experienced this? My boobs have grown a lot and I'm having every symptoms you can think off but could also all be period related. Don't want to test and be disappointed again :( but guess I need too. Or maybe wait until next month and see if I get a period again?!
