Induction without being dilated?

What's your story if you were induced without being dilated??

I was induced with no dilation and it went well. Slow progression since my body was being forced into labor before it was ready... Even after they broke my water. I don't have anything to compare to yet because it was my first and only so far but contractions were pretty painful as they should lol. But I felt as if they were pretty painful for not progressing much. Finally at 3Cm after 7 hours in labor, I got an epidural. An hour later I was 5cm, and another 50 minutes later I was 10&3 ready to push! The epidural was amazing for induction for me because it relaxed my body into a process that it was naturally trying to fight because it wasn't ready. After the epidural I slept till it was time to push because I felt pressure.

I had to be induced with my first because of low amniotic fluid and no movement. He was sunny side up so I had back labor as well. It was 16 hours from start to finish

It was long and hard. It hurt like a bitch. Sorry for the up frontness. Lol. I had natural labor with my second and was able to get to 8cm before taking the epi. I was screaming in pain at a 3 with an induction. I was at a 0 to begin with. It sucked so bad.

I was 1cm and still thick, but they had to induce me. Mine ended up in a c-section due to failure to progress. I got to 4cm and wouldn't dilate any more than that. But they were supposed to use the Foley bulb on me and couldn't because my water ruptured while they were inserting it. I might not have ended up with a c-section if I had the help with dilation.

I was induced at 41 weeks because my cervix was thick and closed. I started off on cervadil had a horrific allergic reaction that led to my vagina swelling and breaking out in hives. I was on that for 12 hours because they dismissed by complaints as normal side effects. They then put me on cytotech by mouth and I was on that for about 20 hours. Then when I was only 3cm dilated they switched to pitocin which I was on for 11 hours before I was 9cm dilated. My doctor then had me use the squat bar and she pushed my cervix open that last centimeter. It ended up being a 43 hour labor. 😩. I hope this doesn't scare you and I hope your labor is so much quicker and easier.

I was induced at 1cm. I wasn't dilating anymore so they induced me. Then I got my epidural. Labor in the hospital was about 13 hours. I had 2 degree tears and needed stitches

Yes, I was dilated maybe a 1 at most both my pregnancies, both were induced, vaginal deliveries for both.

My water broke but I wasn't contracting and barely at 3cm. 18hrs after my water broke they started a very low dose of pitocin and 2.5hrs later I was 9cm. They stretched me to 10cm and I pushed for 20mins and she was born!

I was 4 before they did anything had babies out,in under 6hours. But with no dilation prepare yourself for a long long labor.Good luck
