Foster parents?

Question

I'm 21, single and in the process of becoming a foster parent. I already nanny an infant full time, so I feel like in would be a good use of my time to care for other infants in need of a home.
Are any of y'all foster parents? Do you have any advice? Any stories?

My aunt was a foster parent for a few years before she adopted a baby boy two years ago. My sister also used to work in foster care/adoption. From what I gather from the two of them is these children need extra care and lots of love! Be patient and understanding as well.

I used to be a foster care social worker. My advice is be open to all situations regarding their biological parents. Of course they've done something for their kids to get taken but in most cases the state has to work towards reunification for a year before terminating their rights. The best foster mom I had was one who would always let the biological parents know how their kid was doing and communicated with them (when it was safe and appropriate of course) 
Otherwise just love them like your own!
