Possibility of twins?

Question

So I'm 9w tomorrow and everyone keeps bringing up twins. For years I've said I wanted twins, and I'm seeing tons of twins on here.
But now I'm afraid I could actually have twins! 
I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and only saw one gestational sac and baby.
But is there any chance there could be a second baby they just couldn't see yet?
Does that even happen or has it happened to anyone?
Or maybe everyone is just psyching me out lol

I have had everyone and their mother tell me I was going to have twins. And there is definitely only one (27 weeks and 2 days) and I'm STILL having people tell me that. 
I wouldn't think anything of it or stress about it until you're told you're having twins. If there was only one gestational sac then it would be identical twins which are caused by chance (versus fraternal twins which is caused by ovulating two eggs)

I am having twins and found out at my  first ultrasound at 6 weeks, there were two sacs. I would think they would have seen it.

At 6 weeks my twins were obvious in an ultrasound.

My mother in law was told there was only one baby , to find out at birth it was twins !!! But then again this was over 20yrs ago technology has progressed since then. If I was you I'd talk to my doctor about it, they're the experts after all 😊 best of luck

You could have a hidden twin but if it doesn't show up by your 20 week ultrasound then there is only one. Are you having any twin symptoms?
