Typically how many people are allowed in the operating room? I would like my husband of course but my mom too. Are there some that say just one person?

The reason for one person is it's a medical procedure. They need to concentrate on you and baby not lots of people. There's room for your husband to sit right next to you but remember there's also 1 or 2 surgeons a midwife a scrub nurse an anaesthetist all around you. There's just no room for others. You are there priority.

Typically only one, however with my first, my mom was waiting outside the OR door and my doc told her to scrub up and come in. So I had my husband and my mom.

One person it's very crampt in there with surgical team, anastesisologist, and nurses. Enjoy the moment wth your SO, have your mom wait in recovery or something.

One person is really all that fits next to you. They have to be up by your head during the procedure and that is where the anesthesiologist sits as well so it is cramped.
