When was your first Ultrasound?

I was told by my Drs office that all they did at the confirmation appt was another urine test, and then they would decide whether or not to do an ultrasound before the 18-20 week ultrasound. Wondering if you ladies had the same experience or if I should question this.

Unless there is an issue my midwife only does one ultrasound between 18-20 weeks the entire pregnancy.

My doctor doesn't do an ultrasound until at least ten weeks. If I had to wait until 18-20 weeks I'd switch doctors. The first ultrasound is to make sure everything is ok early on.

I had my first appointment yesterday at 6w2d and they scheduled my first ultrasound for when I'm 9 weeks.

its different in all offices but i had one early because i was spotting 2 weeks and i had a MC last year soo it all just depends

My first was at almost 9 weeks my second was at 12 weeks my third was 20 weeks and i have three more setup for 3
28, 32, 36

My midwife did one right away to date the pregnancy and now I'm waiting till Jun 7 for the anatomy scan

Every office is different . Most don't do ur first ultrasound till 8 weeks minimum because before then it's too early to see anything on the scan. I had mine done at 6 weeks just cause they miscalculated how far along I am. .
