Postpartum depression already?!

Help me I just had my baby 1 day ago and we just got home and I have been crying crying cryinggg
I just feel overwhelmed

Is this normal my husband and 8 year old are so worried about me :/

I don't know what to tell them though

Depends... I cried at the drop of a hat, but didn't feel depressed. Baby blues are normal, overwhelming hormones are normal. Do you feel like harming yourself or the baby? Do you feel completely disconnected? That type of feeling wouldn't be normal. If you're worried, absolutely speak to your doctor. But sone baby blues, crying, etc is normal. Be open and honest with your husband about what you're feeling for sure. Hugs, Mama!

This made me feel a lot better just had my second child may 5th and I have been crying .. Here and there . This reassures me that it's normal and I'm not depressed .

I cried every single day for the frost two weeks. Over little things, over nothing, from being overwhelmed and sleep deprived. It does get better and things do settle down. But if they dont, talk to your doctor! Don't be afraid to get help!

Oh yeah it's normal! I felt this way at random times of the day for about the first month. I just tried to stay positive and told myself it wouldn't be like this forever. Mine sort of went away when I was finally feeling confident about taking care of my baby. At first when she would cry I would get a lot of anxiety for some reason and felt like I wouldn't be able to get her to stop. It also helped that my husband was aware of postpartum and so he was supportive instead of a jerk like some men can be. It gets easier! Just take it day by day.

It is normal- your hormones are trying to regulate and you've been through an emotional period having a baby anyways! Just take your time and be gentle with yourself! Lots of hugs:)

It's so Normal! First two weeks are normal and called baby blues due to the sudden drop of hormones after delivery. Not to mention the huge life change of another child and the physical recovery ! You got this mama!! I was the same way and it gets better every day. Try to keep yourself busy as much as possible and walk daily outside

Very normal. The first 2 wks were awful for me. I literally cried 25/7. People would ask how things were going and I'd burst into tears and say fine. I was overwhelmed, overtired and depressed. It was very scary. One night I locked my husband and baby out of the bedroom and cried and cried. I even thought about running away. Then 2 wks almost to the day it all stopped. I felt so much better.

It is very normal to cry a lot in the first few days. Hand baby off and try to get some sleep! I promise it will help :)
