Did it take to conceive after D&C? Did you get pregnant the first cycle after?

I had a DNC September 23, 2015 and a positive pregnancy test January 7, 2016!

I had a D&C February 19. I had previously started to miscarry around January 8 (and bled for 50+ days) so my OB was ok with us starting to try again as soon as I got my first period (March 21) because she knew my HCG had been down for a while. However, we had a trip planned to wine country at the beginning of April so we held off until this past cycle. Praying we conceived last week! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Long story short, they usually want you to have a period to date a second pregnancy if it happened and also because (according to my OB) your cervix may not be 'competent' to sustain pregnancy again just yet.

Lots of women try right away and it's your decision. Many people just aren't ready emotionally to try again so soon.

They say to wait 3 months to let your body heal a little and go back to normal. We waited 6 months.
