why do guy try and come back

I am wondering why guy think they can come back after they mistreated you and they tell u more lie like I am never gonna lie and cheated again but still be doing the same thing after yall broke I'm wondering why is this

and why do they say they wanna be there for the kids but still don't put effort to see them or still denied them after DNA is done and come back they are there father why do dad do this

why do they make u look like the bad person to there family say thing like ooh she won't let me see my kids cause I'm not paying child support but u ask him do he wanna see his kids but continue to say ooh noo I got thing to do
