Why am I not getting my period?

My periods have been pretty irregular over the years. I'm currently not on birth control and my period is two weeks late. I took two pregnancy tests that came back negative and even went to th Doctor for a blood test and it came back negative. Took another urine test and its negative so where is my period? I just started a new job and chalked it up to stress but two weeks? Really? Since I've ruled pregnancy out I wanted to know if there are any other reasons why I may not have gotten it.
