Cloth diapering newborns?

Question

I've decided I want to try to cloth diaper for the first month or two. I'm a first mother can I get some advice ? 
*which diaper brands
*what all do I need 
*any way I can make it more like a disposable.

I love watching mama natural. Her and her husband do a video series on this. I personally waited until my son was a bit older I think 3 months. I had a rough time at first and did not want to have to have a deal with learning to cloth diaper and have mastitis and have to buy a new born stash also. I know lots who do and it works well for them. But with that said I cannot help with new new babies but I have blueberry covers with inserts. I prefer them to the pocket diapers that you have to stuff.

I'd do pre folds from green mountain diapers and fitteds for newborn stage. You'd need the fitteds and perfolds and a few waterproof covers. It's cheapest from my research. I have yet to be able to use my newborn stash though. Due in July!

I like pocket diapers (I use fuzzibunz). You stuff the insert into the shell and it's ready to go when you need it, like a disposable. When it's dirty, you just throw it in the pail until laundry time instead of the trash. Very easy, very cost effective.

I also like pockets because you can customize absorbancy by choosing different inserts (i.e., microfiber absorbs and dries quick but doesn't hold as much, hemp or cotton absorb more but take longer to try, etc.), the shell has a nice fleece lining that is soft and wicks moisture away from baby's bum, and they are pretty trim compared to some other styles.

All-In-Ones are also very like disposables (it's all one piece, obviously, so no stuffing or anything extra required), but they take forever to dry.

Finally, you can get one-size diapers that fit newborn to potty-training, but I don't like them for newborns. They are way too bulky and newborn pants don't fit.

I am cloth diapering my newborn. I bought 24 newborn size prefolds and six workhorses from green mountain diapers and I have 6 covers various brands (thirsties size 1 duo wrap, rumparooz, sweet pea, blueberry) I also have five newborn all in ones for traveling or easier changes. I angel fold the prefolds with a snappi.  I don't use all of those changes and I wash every other day.

I find the cloth diapering board on baby center to be the best help.

I will switch to one size all in ones once she is bigger.

Honestly i would not cloth diaper a newborn. They poop literaly every hour. I didnt start cloth until my son was about 3 months. My fav brands are lil helpers, grovia, best bottoms. I am a fan of ai2 dipers. Lil helpers inserts are amazing

I'm planning to cloth diaper out daughter once she reaches 8 pounds. They are so expensive that for anything newborn I'm going to use disposables since the one-size-fits-all diapers don't fit newborns and I don't feel like buying two different sets.

GDiapers are considered a hybrid (the part that gets messy can be a cloth insert or disposable). I've heard the newborn size barely fits most babies so it might be worth starting with small (8-14ish pounds). I liked them with my first because the outside "gpants" only had to be wiped with a baby wipe between pees so less laundry!

I have seen many 1 size cloth diapers that fit from 6-33ish pounds and I plan to use those. Rumparooz are sized for newborn to potty training and so are Alva baby. I just ordered my first 6 pack of Alva baby color coded snap pocket diapers and if I am satisfied with function etc then I will order enough to diaper my child through potty training. I will most likely use disposable ones while on road trips or airplanes etc as I don't want to carry a poop diaper with me for hours:-)
