Pregnancy after D&C

Unfortunately I am scheduled to have a d&c because I have lost my baby. It's so sad and emotional but I know it's in God's hands now. My doctor says after the procedure we can TTC right away. I have read that after a d&c/mc your "more fertile" but do you think our bodies are ready for another pregnancy right after the loss of another? I want to get pregnant again ASAP but want it to be safe and DON'T want to go through another loss. So have any of you had success after a d&c?
