Ovulation test

This is going to sound stupid and I'm ok with that. What's the "proper" way to take this test everyday? First urine? Anytime? And if one says I'm ovulating when do I need to BD? Been trying for 8 months and I'm not worried just heart hurts cause we do want 1 more. DS turns 3 in a month thanks
