Methadone & periods?

Is anyone on methadone and since have had odd periods? I am allll frigged up😭😭

I know it's not the same but I used to be on suboxone and didn't have my period for three months one time. After negative pregnancy tests I went to the doctor where they did a pregnancy test. Negative again so they did blood work to check my hormone levels and everything was fine. I ended up getting my period later that same week. I have heard of other women having the same problems with these medications but I'm not sure what causes it. I don't know your reasons for being on methadone but if you're in recovery just remember that it is a stressful time and that could be messing with your cycles. Especially early recovery and even pain management. Just to be on the safe side see a doctor if you can and have bloodwork done. Good luck.
