How and why to get a steak cooked while pregnant?

I love my medium rare steaks and have been craving my medium rare steak, but recently I have heard some chatter of it could be harmful to baby. Just wondering why and thoughts &opinions on how y'all order yalls steaks?

I still eat my steaks rare. With whole cuts of meat the bacteria is on the outside so it is cooked off when the steak is seared. With ground beef the bacteria gets mixed throughout so you want it cooked through.

I eat mine medium and still do. I'm not sure why you're not supposed to, but I'm sure it would be fine to have. Maybe not eating one every day, but on occasional thing should be ok.

They say risk of food poisoning is why it needs to be cooked more. If you feel comfy eat it. I ate one med rate not to long ago and it was literally the best thing I've ever eaten.

I've always ate my steak medium rare. It's never made me sick or anything. I think you are fine to get it cooked that way if you're used to it.

I had one ordered medium rare before I heard of this and so the next one I had done medium well. It was so dry I may have to just skip steaks till I have the baby :/
