Aap recommends nothing but breast milk or formula for 6 months. You should stop food and try again when it's age appropriate. Old recommendations were 4 months. My first got solids at 4 months because that was the rule then. Now it's 6 months so my second didn't get food until 6. My third won't get food until 6 months either. There are good reasons to hold off on food. Cereal is needless empty calories and can be skipped completely. Your baby isn't even 4 months. Why are you pushing food so early?! It's completely unnecessary

That happened to my daughter with sweet carrots. She had eaten before with no problem and then the next time she broke out all over her body with tiny red dots. I just threw the rest of it away and won't feed it to her again. I don't want it to be one of those allergies where the next time might be worse and we end up in the er.

I'm not sure if this is an allergic reaction, but I do know that you usually don't have a reaction the first time you try something. I work for a doctor who always said "the first bee sting kill you" because your body has to be introduced to it before it builds histamines

If it's not banana related, it could be a teething rash!! My daughter gets a red splotch on her cheek when she gets a new tooth. It's always on the side that the tooth is on. She usually has loose poops and a low grade fever when she's getting a new tooth as well. She got her first one at 3 months!
