Is this lamp appropriate for a nursery?

Okay so we're doing a safari themed nursery for our little one and I'm trying to use as many things as i can without buying them. I'm hoping that this lamp could go with a safari theme nursery and I wouldn't have to buy a lamp for it. I loved it when I bought it but it doesn't match anything right now so it seems ugly... I'm hoping to make it work once the nursery comes together

You could also spray paint the base a different color if you don't love the gold. The twill, khaki colored shade will look great with a safari themed nursery. Good luck! :)

Since the lamp shade is white you could do some kind of arts and crafts on it?

It can work but there are so many cute inexpensive lamps that I would just buy a new one of you don't love it.
