Have any of you used nail polish while pregnant?

Hey girls I just did my own nails at home and my friend just told me that it could be very dangerous Im freaking out. What should I do..

I think mostly they worry about fumes. My Dr okayed me to continue getting my acrylics (I'm sure there is more crap in that, than nail polish 😉). The only thing he mentioned was making sure the place has good ventilation. Everyone has a different opinion and according to some we are better off in a padded room until the baby comes. 😂😂 Also, if you are concerned you could look up which nail polish brands are safer to use during pregnancy for future reference. I think I remember seeing something about opi being a good brand. I personally wouldn't worry about it at all. And for myself I don't have that pregnancy glow...feeling quite blah about my appearance actually. So I'm all for doing things that make us feel good about ourselves.

I get my nails done every 2 weeks and have for as long as I can remember . I have a healthy 2 and a half year old and am having a healthy pregnancy so far! If it were dangerous your doctor would let you know. 🙂

I get pedi's and mani's like every 2-3 weeks. I get polish on my toes and I get the shellac polish on my nails.

You'll be just fine.. my cousin works in cosmetology.  Hair and nails,  many of the girls she works with have been pregnant and still do their jobs.  As long as you're in a ventilated area and aren't sniffing it, you're fine.

It's fine! If that's the case we should all just lock ourselves in the closet. The placenta is there to keep our babies safe.

I never even heard of this with my first pregnancy. We keep getting more and more paranoid.

I have used this non-chemical brand I bought at Whole Foods. But last time, I went and got a pedicure in a shop.

I have through all of mine. Always in a well ventilated room but it's never hurt my babies haha.

I have, multiple times with my previous pregnancies as well. As long as you're not sticking your nose to it and inhaling, it's fine.

I didn't know if was dangerous...? I mean I'm not in a tiny room just inhaling the fumes but I paint my nails about every other day. Never thought anything of it?
