What kind of formula

Question

Im a frist time mom i have a 3 week old baby girl and i was planning on just BRestfeeding but i havent been makeing enough to fill her up :( so i started giving her newborn formula. I just run out of it so i was thinking on getting the same or trying the Supplementing kind or the Enspire kind from emfamil? Im going to keep BF too

I've used "Baby's Only Organic Formula" I use the lactorelief kind - they also have dairy free, soy, etc. I've used it ok my last two boys and plan on with this one. I would love to strictly BF but this is one of the cleanest formulas out there.

Why do you think you arent making enough? Have you been to a lactation consultant to be checked? Is baby gaining? I asked because the first 6 weeks is a giant growth spurt and is cruciel that you dont supplement with formula if you only want to breastfeed. Baby will cry at the breast and pull of then relatch, thats babies way of telling your body to increase milk.

Similac for Breastfeeding moms, it's in a light green tub. It's the next best thing next to breastfeed feeding in my opinion.

I used parents choice sensitive when I was supplementing. Now that I've stopped nursing we've switched to Kirkland brand sensitive. It's identical to parents choice. Most off brands are made by big name formula manufacturers like similac

I've been using Similac Sensitive(powdered) since my daughter was 8 days old along with breastfeeding. We just stopped breastfeeding at 6 months because she got her first 2 teeth at 4 months and was using them as a weapon lol.

You can use powder you don't have to use a liquid formula. My daughter was 5w and they gave her powder in the hospital and said I could bring her powder from home cuz they didn't have the one I give her. I used the gentlease one. Now I use nestle good start 2, when I run out of that one I'm going to use the Kirkland omega one because it's cheaper in a bigger can and it's said to be the closest one to nestle.
