Bruise remedies?

So I ran into my bed frame and I have a huge goose egg with a bruise on my leg. It's awful looking. Anyone have any remedies to bring down the blackness of my bruise?

This would be so helpful considering I am accident prone lol. I always am running into things or I get mysterious bruises in the middle of the night when I sleep lol.

Epsom salts. Either soak in a hot bath with it or put it in a warm compress...or both. Works wonders for me!! It's pretty much good for EVERYTHING!!!

In Australia we use hirudoid ointment. Not sure if available elsewhere but it's the best I've come across! Might be the same as arnica?

Man! I get so many bruises, too! I sometimes use arnica if it hurts a lot, but I don't think it helps change the appearance much. Sometimes I really look like I got beat up! One time in college I woke up with bruises all up and down my forearm from banging it on my bedframe in my sleep.
